Hellpoint a dark sci-fi role-playing game taking inspiration from Dead Space and Dark Souls is set for release in April developer Cradle Games has announced.

The crowd funding backed title is set on a derelict space station orbiting a super massive black hole. Taking inspiration from the aforementioned games and movies such as Event Horizon and Hellraiser, Hellpoint immerses players in a "twisted narrative involving Cosmic Gods, quantum physics, and extinct space civilizations." Set in the aftermath of a massive quantum cataclysm called the Merge. Players wake up on board the Irid Novo space station, a beacon of galactic cooperation and scientific exploration gone horribly wrong.

The game will feature co-op and pvp multiplayer aspects as well as tight and unforgiving combat system, a slightly transforming the game world every time you die and an occult space story.

Hellpoint will be available April 16th.
