Crowbar Collective has posted an update for Black Mesa, the Half-Life remake stating that the game will be exiting early access and go to full release on March 5th after 14 years in development.

The reveal came via a long update post for the game by Crowbar owner, Adam Engels in which he stated “Through luck, hard work, and maybe a bit of ignorance we didn’t shy away from our goal of bringing this game to completion. We are proud of what we built. We think this upcoming 1.0 release is the best, most polished, and most fun version of the game yet. The anticipation and excitement around our project is beyond flattering.”

The game has overwhelming positive reviews on Steam and has been praised by both gamers and critics for staying faithful to the original game. Crowbar say they will continue to update and support the game after its full release.

Black Mesa 1.0 will be available on Steam from 5th March.
